BUT IS IT REALLY GOOD TO LIVE WITH PETS?
Surely you are wondering if we of Passione Animali we are crazy! Absolutely not, and of course the answer is: Absolutely yes!!! Not that it's new that our furry friends make us feel good, but we understand why.
One of the US Government's leading centers of health and human services, the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) has proven that the company of our little ones (or big!) friends lower your stress level (now you will think, "and when the cat claws on the new beautiful sofa, how does stress lower it?" Interesting question, to which you will find a solution here!) and increases happiness. In short, having one or more furry friends around the house reduces: heart disease, stress, anxiety and helps in relationships with others. All this obviously does not refer only to adults, but also to the little ones.
In fact, in children it not only reduces the onset of allergies, as living in contact with animals, exposes to non-transmissible bacteria to humans, which they do in the way of boost the immune system and make it stronger, but it also increases the sense of responsibility, independence, bringing balance and self-esteem given by the fact that the child, taking care of another living being, understands that he has gods duties and feels more self-confident about himself and his capacity. It is not a wonderful thing?
Even more so for the more timid children, who, having in contact with a pet, will learn to establish strong bonds of friendship with the animal, communicating with him and they will help him to bring these abilities to the outside world, with other children.
However it is absolutely important that the little one and his furry friend come constantly supervised. Is important to teach the child how to behave with his friend, teaching him not to disturb him while he sleeps, a don't yank the hair, ears or tail, to caress it gently, showing the child that the animal is not a game, but a living being to love and respect. The same goes for the cat, who must be careful if the contact with the baby is to his liking or not (based on his character). Important is do not force never the animal to have contact with the little human, but let it slowly establish itself natural friendship.
So, if your child every two days asks you for a little furry friend, praying in all the languages of the world (including cries), why not satisfy him? As long as you are prepared for the possibilities (almost certain!) small (sometimes a little bigger!) pranks, but always done with love!
We close with a beautiful sentence, dedicated to our furry friends, because without them the world it wouldn't be the same:
«Until you have loved an animal, a part of your soul will always be without light». (A. France)
